371st Special Operations Combat Training Squadron

Established in August of 2010, the 371 SOCTS is one of the squadrons under the 492 SOTRG. The 371 SOCTS is based at Hurlburt Field, Florida with a detachment based out of Choctaw Naval Air Station, Florida.

The 371 SOCTS is the Formal Training Unit responsible for the conducting Programmed Ground Training of Air Force Special Operations Forces on behalf of Air Force Special Operations Command. The formal training includes Air Commando Field Skills Courses, Deployed Aircraft Ground Response Element (DAGRE), Special Operations Forces (SOF) Processing Exploitation and Dissemination, SOF Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Tactical Controller, Combat Aviation Advisor mission qualification course, and Small Unmanned Aerial Systems training.

The 371 SOCTS provides on average over 1100 trained students per year to AFSOC and select Joint partners across all courses.

Conduct AFSOF unique ground training that enables Air Commandos to survive in, sustain, and prepare environments for current and future operations

Priorities

Develop 371st SOCTS Cadre (Officers, Enlisted, & Civilian) to execute the mission

Transform Field Skills Training to prepare Air Commandos for near-peer and non-state adversaries

Modernize IFTU training by leveraging new training methods and systems for a contested environment

Innovate SUAS training to create a modern ISR capability for AFSOC that meets Strategic Guidance

Empower 371st SOCTS members and families by creating an adaptive environment to bolster resiliency
