492 SOTRG Det 2 Flies Final Mission
An MC-130J flown by the 492d Special Operations Training Group Detachment 2, flies over the airfield after its final mission from Hurlburt Field, Florida, before the detachment's inactivation March 30, 2023. The detachment flew Air Force Special Operations Command's most advanced MC-130J, providing aircraft testing and development support, training courseware construction, contract oversight and future aircrew production to meet AFSOC's and USSOCOM's Capabilities Release priorities.
